Ports of Caorle

Modern while maintaining a traditional air, great gateways to the Adriatic

Porto Peschereccio

The Fishing Port of Caorle is a place that still recalls of the old fishermen setting sail for a trip at sea or on the canals in search of the fresh catch. It keeps its traditional air: each morning, fishermen, boats, nets and catch fill the air with color and hustle. In the old days, they used to sell the gifts of the sea at the nearby fish market. They still do that, benefiting the local eateries with the freshest of the daily catch: fish and seafood to be prepared according to the old traditional recipes, or to modern and innovative formulas.

Porto Peschereccio is, by far, a must-visit: it is not tourist-oriented, but it is precisely to its authenticity that it owes its popularity. In fact, one of the few remaining spots in Caorle where visitors can actually get a real feel of historical Caorle.

It’s not off the beaten path: on the contrary, its privileged location, just north of the historical center, east of Darsena dell'Orologio, makes it easy to access from virtually all corners of Caorle.

Marina 4

It is located in Porto Santa Margherita, within a striking distance of the mouth of the Livenza (some 400 meters west). It stands out as one of the most modern ports on the Adriatic coastline, and it makes room for the mooring of no less than 700 boats (private moorings). Special docks are fitted for sailing boats and motorboats.

On top of that, it is equipped with all necessary facilities. The high standards of excellence have brought this port the Blue Flag. You’ll get the chance to convince yourself of its tourist merits if you are curious enough to try some of the water sport opportunities or opt for a sea cruise along the Adriatic coastline.

Darsena dell'Orologio

This is the largest marina in Caorle. It was built along the namesake canal (Canale dell'Orologio) and it is an integral part of the urban landscape. It borders the historical center at north, and it is crucial to the local business and leisure infrastructure.

It features some 500 moorings, and, on top of the specific facilities and services provided, it offers plenty of entertainment opportunities. This is why locals are so fond of it and tourists hang around. It’s not for nothing that Darsena dell'Orologio was awarded the Blue Flag!
